Advisory Council

The volunteer advisory council members carry out advisory functions that further the mission of developing and coordinating community-based systems of services for older individuals and family and older relative caregivers specific to each planning and service area.​​

The council advises Non-Metro NM AAA on developing and administering the area plan; ensuring the plan is available for older individuals, family caregivers, service providers and the general public; conducting public hearings; representing the interests of older individuals and family caregivers; and reviewing and commenting on public policies, programs and actions which affect older individuals and family caregivers with the intent on assuring maximum coordination and responsiveness to older individuals and family caregivers.
